How do the plants in the green wall get water?

The Wallflore systems come with a built-in irrigation system. The irrigation system is one of the most important parts for a successful green wall. The irrigation system is made of a network of built-in dripping tubes in the wall supporting sub-structure which is controlled by a central intelligent control unit. The possibilities of this system are various, from “stand alone” to fully “webbased”.

Which plants can I place in my vertical garden?

The choice for the type of plants depends on the elevation and the environmental climate. Naturally, the selection of plants available for internal applications differs from the selection available for outdoor applications. Wallflore can provide you with advice for the specification and design of your particular project.

Won’t my wall become damp due to the Wallflore system?

The Wallflore system is a ventilated system. It means that there is an “air gap” between the green wall panels and the wall substrate on which it is fixed. This air gap makes sure that there is continuous ventilation behind the system. The supporting wall is also covered with a breathable membrane. This air gap prevents any water from reaching the building structure while the membrane ensures a breathable building structure.

What does a vertical Wallflore garden weigh?

Depending on the type of system, Wallflore products weigh between 15 and 25 kg/m2. The Wallflore SOFT system is the lightest system.

Can a Wallflore system be anchored to my wall or facade?

The Wallflore green walls can in fact be applied to any type of substrate of your internal wall or outside facade.The system is light weight and comes with a wide range of brackets to suit different types of substrates. Should you have doubts concerning the possibilities for your wall or façade, we can offer advice in the specification for your project.
